The majority of the EU student body comes from outside Georgia, with students hailing from all 50 states and over 100 countries. The school offers an 8:1 student-faculty ratio and 95% of freshmen return for sophomore year. The campus is home to the renowned Goizueta Business School and Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, as well as The Carter Center, which focuses on the advancement of peace and health worldwide. Emory’s Project SHINE connects students with immigrants and refugees by helping teach English to non-English speakers. Emory is home to around 550 unique clubs and organizations, as well as several secret societies including DVS and the Paladin Society.
