Kenyon College is a prestigious liberal arts college in Gambier, OH – the oldest private college in the state. The small school averages an intimate 10:1 student-faculty ratio, and no classes are taught by teaching assistants – professors lead all the learning. Campus is home to the Brown Family Environmental Center, whose 480 acres host seven different ecosystems and academic opportunities including the Summer Science Scholars program. Four Fulbright students were awarded Fulbright Scholar distinctions in the 2016-17 school year. 15% of students come from Ohio. Every October, Kenyon first-years sign the Matriculation Book, which holds the signatures of notable Kenyon grads including U.S. president Rutherford B. Hayes, actor Paul Newman and novelist John Green.
